Cymodocea nodosa

The Cymodocea Restoration Network was founded in November 2025 by Beatriz Marin Diaz and Prof. Dr Fiona Tomas Nash from the Imedea (UIB-CSIC). The network was created following the successful in person workshop at the 2nd European Seagrass Restoration Workshop in April 2025 organised by Dr. Lázaro Marín-Guirao and Prof. Dr. Fernando Tuya.

Fiona graduated with a PhD in Ecology at the University of Barcelona in 2004 and after pursuing several postdocs in the US and Spain (Scripps Institution of Oceanography, Bodega Marine Laboratory, University California Davis, Ceab – CSIC) is a Tenured Scientist at Imedea (UIB-CSIC, Mallorca, Spain).

Beatriz Marin Diaz

Beatriz is currently a PostDoc at Imedea (UIC-CSIC). She was previously working at the University of Florida Center for Coastal Solutions. Her PhD research was undertaken at NIOZ Royal Netherlands Institute for Sea Research and University of Groningen in the Netherlands.
