European Seagrass Restoration Workshop’s

European Seagrass Restoration Workshop‘s (ESRWs) represent the gathering of the European Seagrass Restoration Alliance (ESRA) community.

Conceived in 2010, the 1st European Seagrass Restoration Workshop (ESRW1) was with 30 participants, and was held in Portinho da Arrábida, Portugal, on the 30 September and 1 October 2010. (NB – This ESRW provided the inspiration for ESRA, it was not organised through ESRA. It was organized under the Biomares Project (LIFE06 NAT/P/192– report here).

The 2nd European Seagrass Restoration Workshop (ESRW2) was with 211 participants, it was organised by The Seagrass Consortium and hosed by Le Parc naturel marin du Bassin d’Arcachon between 8th April – 10th April 2025
